So when I had (we was given) it did not work, he started on the calibration screen but freeze directly. So I tried USB on the computer, of course not detected so I search on the internet and I came across your topic while I followed. Now I finally have access to the document, but any GPS data corrupted its full of files with symbols so I tried to format in FAT32 or NTFS but can not block at 50%, against FAT by his works but the files back when I disconnects and reconnects.. It is impossible to remove or add files. I dry could you help me? :Animated43:
    I have firmware 6.60 if you need.

    Sorry for my English I'm French.

    @Th|b@üt
    I'm a little confused by your post, but am assuming that your screendumps are current and you can now browse the Nuvi on your PC.

    If so, you can do this:

    1. Delete the corrupt POI sub-folder from the Garmin folder.
    2. Change the file name '1mapprom.img' to 'gmapprom.img'.

    Safely disconnect your Nuvi from the PC and it should now boot normally.

    Good evening Neil, now I have access to my files using firmware 6.60 + cure that I created with "GarminCure3.exe" but I can not change, delete, or add the files. All what I do comes back after disconnection of the GPS. If I put the original firmware 6.60 GPS is frozen on the screen with copyright.
    There is not that the folder "POI" corrupted. All my files corrupted.

    OK, I understand now that you've added the extra two screens. Did you try reformatting using this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Yes, this is precisely what has formatting that I was blocking 50%, as seen previously in the topic.

    Re-make the cure using GarminCure3 tool and do all again. If still not working, try this cure: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    So I tried this cure but my GPS still always freezes at the starting point. I despair.
    PS: I tried with firmware 6.60 and 6.00.
