I think maps could be of some value, because you can't normally download them. So distributors could put something valuable there. Also I've heard about some cases when a special basemap unlocked some regional features. That's why I'm asking.
Making a GCD file from a dump is easy, I will help you with that.
You could probably do that with help of RGN_Tool, but unfortunately it doesn't allow changing the region numbers when contructing a GCD file.
do you think is possible to dump also model 2009-10?
Maybe can be interesting to have also this software.
I found that is like a Garmin GVN53.
Wich procedure should I use?
If you give me detailed instructions i can try.
Yes, it should be possible. I just have to take boot.bin from that device model and add the dumping code to it.

Ok, thank you. I've removed the link to the dump in order to protect your privacy.
I will analyze this dump and try to make a usable GCD with the dumped firmware.
BTW, you can unpack the dump yourself and see that region 0x03 has invalid checksum. I don't know why, maybe it's due to a faulty CF card. Anyway, we probably don't need that "Atlantic Routable Highway Basemap v3".
oh, shi... the data in unpacked regions is shifted somehow. I will investigate this further.
Can you unpload the output of gfwdump111? Maybe it doesn't have such problems.
