Hi to everyone, thanks to this post iīve been able to make my Nuvi 1300 work again. thanks a lot to everyone for sharing your knowledge. Now, iīm stuck with a problem: when i run pgarmincure3 in core mode i can see my nuvi in my computer, iīm able to update it with webupdater, upload maps with mapsource, etc. but, offocurse my nuvi wont boot. After flashing again with original firmware my Nuvi boots normally but now i canīt see it anymore in my computer or use it with mapsource or webupdater. Any ideas?

any help will be fully apreciated.

    thanks again.

If your nuvi boots in navigation mode, when connected to PC, then you can have bad USB cable or USB socked in nuvi.

i donīt think so, itīs the same cable and port i use when itīs recognized after cure firmware. Also these are the same i use to flash the firmware, the problem is after flashing original firmware. I have to run garmincure with cure firmware, upload maps or anythig else, then rerun garmincure with original firmware to make it boot... but then itīs no longer detected by pc...

I've never encountered such weird behaviour....
Can you check if the PC detects any new devices when you connect your nuvi with ORIGINAL firmware (open device manager and then connect the cable)?
Is it possible that your cable is a Garmin Service USB cable?

Try this, this help me on problem like yours.

Flash with cure FW and then create backup of your nuvi (dont forget hiden folder .System)

    Format nuvi to FAT32

Add back your backup and turn nuvi on

Go to hiden menu over cockpit and clear nonvol.

Can you also go to the battery menu (press and hold the battery icon until the menu appears) and tell us which captions change there when you connect the USB cable?

USB Device changes from no cable detected to Power Cable.
I limit USB changes from unknown to 1A
Power Source changes from Bat to Ext
