    Default BMW Navigator VI

    Hi friends
I would like to ask - I have here bricked BMW Navigator VI.
Disconnection of USB during updating caused endless loop restart...
I got the unit and tried to update .RGN created from GCD file downloaded from garmin (5.80). I converted GCD to RGN using default settings in RGN tool...
Standard way - lower right corner, SYSTEM ... LOADING, got the unit in the UPDATER USB window, flashed it correctly...
But even after restart it keep restarting like before.

I´m out of ideas what else to try to fix it.
    Can you help?

    Sorry for late reply.

Your Navigator has a corrupt file onboard that is preventing a complete boot cycle. It must be removed by first loading a MODIFIED *.rgn file in preboot to re-enable Mass Storage Mode (see this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]); then remove the offending file (or if absolutely necessary, re-format using only [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]); and finally flash again with the ORIGINAL *.rgn in preboot. Read the complete guide here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. It's the same procedure used for your Nav VI.

Although it might be any recent file added by GarminExpress that is corrupt, you might have a clue depending on what was being updated at the time (a GCD firmware file; an IMG map file etc., etc..). Post again here if you need additional general assistance or in one of the above linked threads if more specific help's needed.
