Garmin PRO 550 Plus help please

Hi

Is anyone familiar with the Garmin PRO 550 plus and know where I can get a copy of the latest firmware and if there are region restrictions on this model? HWID is: 3116

They unit seems to stop working as soon as it gets GPS signal, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any device transmitting RF will need to comply with local frequency regulations ,as your device has a GPS it will most probably be GEO locked to the country of purchase.

It is outside the country of purchase and looks like I've just bought an expensive paperweight. Would this unit have encrypted firmware or could the region lock be fixed like a garmin Alplha can be, if it was compliant from an RF perspective?


Does anyone have any previous versions of the firmware for this unit?

Thanks asprin, tired that this morning and it’s still doing the same thing, when it gets a signal it just displays a big X on the screen
