Regarding my map, I'm using the Roadguide PH map with 34xx that has a modified TYP file to widen the roads. It worked properly with the 3790 firmware but it seems that the roads are back to being narrow with the 34xx firmware. What could I be missing here?
Probably typ doesnt work with 34xx firmware ,ask may be in Road Guide forum about that typ or you can customize it with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I've the same with my ita locale than x-trail:
During Route Simulation you can increase the speed of the car by touching the Speed Limit icon and changing the speed number.
When you reach a road with a different Speed Limit (map data) than the one you've set, your Speed Limit will be restored to the map's value and you will have to change it again.

Sorry, i was wrong, it does work with AU locale and maps. Just tried it again on a suburban semi-major road with 60 zone and sli set to 120. Simulation speed went straight up to 120, but when it came to a different 60kph section of the same road sli and simulation speed dropped back to 60 again. Must be breaks in the speed limits on the map even on the same roads in places i think.

Tried using UK locale and you guys are right that as long as the map has no speed limit data then there's no use for it.

Regarding the autocomplete in searches, is it normal for the 34xx firmware to not enable that feature? I noticed that it does not autocomplete the searches that I've already made before but it records it in the "recent" section successfully.

The 34x0 does not 'autocomplete' as such, it offers suggestions below the search text box based on your typed input. Have a look here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and scroll down to SID. If you don't have the SID files in the SID subfolder of .system instaSearch & instaAdresses won't work. They assist with FastRouting too.

Just for interest: what happens if i connect a transformed device with the mygarmin area on the website, if the original device is already registered? Does Garmin realize it?

    Edit: I'm very sorry... *blush*

I play with my nuvi 3490 and find something interesting when i try to enable active lane guidance

First i explore region 140 from nuvi 2597 from @Alviora.

I see that in region 140 is Photoreal JCV.xml enabled by default and also that reg140 on nuvi 2597 start with 28 but on 3490 start with 20, then i start testing and this is result:

First i only add 01 in place in red circle on picture below, look also at start number:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

But supported_features.html is after this change like before (no change in supported_features.html )

    <html><br><b>Supported Features</b><br><br>Part Number: 006-D2617-00<br>Rev: 0A<br><br>3D Buildings<br>3D Terrain<br>TTS Phonetics<br>Junction View<br>Lane Assist<br>Speed Limits<br>Traffic EULA<br>Photo Nav<br>ASR<br>Historic Traffic<br>Custom Avoidances<br>Advanced Detours<br>Premium Point Addressing<br>2D Footprints<br>3D Buildings Supplementary<br>Bluetooth<br>MP3<br>Video Playback<br></html>
Then i change in reg140 start number from 20 to 28 ( like on nuvi 2597) and add 01 in place where nuvi 2597 have enabled PhotoReal JCV.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

and now supported_features.html look like this:

    <html><br><b>Supported Features</b><br><br>Part Number: 006-D2617-00<br>Rev: 0A<br><br>3D Buildings<br>3D Terrain<br>TTS Phonetics<br>Junction View<br>Lane Assist<br>Speed Limits<br>Traffic EULA<br>Photo Nav<br>ASR<br>Historic Traffic<br>Custom Avoidances<br>Advanced Detours<br>Premium Point Addressing<br>2D Footprints<br>3D Buildings Supplementary<br>Bluetooth<br>MP3<br>Video Playback<br>Photo Real JCV<br></html>
So i have no luck to enable active lane guidance ( i think that nuvi series 2013 will have different JCV or this function by default in FW) but found out how to enable Photo Real JCV to show in .html

    p.s.
Maybe we must also flash region 132 and 150 becouse nuvi 2597 have data in this two region, but nuvi 3490 have this region empty.
I don't know what data is in region 132 and 150 so i will not flash it on nuvi 3490. ( maybe someday when i know what is this data )

Do you try to enable Natural Guidance and PhotoReal JCV on 34xx and found some difference?

    Edit:
Found in FW of nuvi 3597 that Natural Guidance.xml is present but in 34xx FW this future not present.

What do the Hex digits mean for these features?
