    fringe:

thanks for the kb link, now the backspace appears and working properly with kb layouts, repped.

as for custom poi icons, mine displays properly on both fw, i use 24x24 8bit (256colors), i remember i used to get a black dot too on 3750 with the wrong size icon file, but not sure why yours have problem when the picture format/size is correct.

    Frustrating.....
Do custom icons show all the time or only when on a route?
I can see speed cam warning on route (normal behaviour) but when I browse a custom POI such as Rest Areas, I see all the places listed, pick one and select the info icon and the map comes up empty. I can route to it ok. Touch the screen to bring up the transparent search bar for POIs and select the bottom icon for custom poi's and a little blue dot appears where my Rest Area icon should appear. Touch the dot and I get an info bar identifying the poi as the required rest area.

I just don't know what 'normal' behaviour is for 34xx.

Perhaps someone could kindly upload a 'working' custom icon they have and I will use poi loader to combine with one of my gpx files to test.

i dont use other custom poi other than trapster's speed cam, they only appear on route and not while browsing (not sure if it has to do with "distance setting" from poi loader). as for garmin's original poi icons, they appear fine on mine at the info screen where the map is divided. i also get the blue dot if i select custom poi all the way at bottom from the drop box, then identifies the blue dot when i click on it.

I can share original files from nuvi 3490T Europe.
Without maps, .System/Sid and .System/JCV it will be 1,7 GByte. Voice recognition files in .System/Asr are too big (more than 1GByte) and .System/Voice (more 600MBytes).
    Result: no maps, empty .System/Sid, .System/JCV, .System/Asr and .System/Voice:

I have flashed my 3760 to 3490 and the voice command stopped working on "find name" "find city" "find addrees" The error it gives is "voice command is not available for american english. However it works fine for favorites and recently found. Does anyone know the fix? Thanks!

I am using the North America maps. I run webupdater and downloaded the asr files but I have no SID files for the North America map. The Sid you suggest are for Europe. Does anyone know where I can find trhose? Thanks.

Do you have lifetime for CN NA?
If you have you must download CN again to get this file or find user with 34xx and lifetime of CN NA and ask him to redownload maps and send this file to you.
