That was the exact behaviour that I have seen on my 3790 before it lost all the options....I have just upgraded to v6.40 of software and will test it again....
Tks, I have flash 3760 to 34xx without problem.
Then, I got little trigger happy and delete everything in the voice/ keyboard/ text folder. ( now I only able to get English support )
Is there something I can do to get back other text languages display? prefer from Webupdate?
run Webupdater, you'll get missing files
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
I did run webupdater and mygarmin.com w/out luck.
It will show ex. Japanese text font to update, after download it, there is no choice to display Japanese UI. ( I understand there will be no Japanese input keyboard. )
To be clear, after converting to 34xx, everything works perfectly.

Yes, I did try that. Thanks again.
I think it might be the new localization xml I have updated while I was prompt to update to 6.40 in "mygarmin".
( I flashed 6.3 first )
On top of that, I have also deleted entire folder of "keyboards", "voice", and "text" and webupdate after that... still no dice.
BUT!!! no matter what, I am extremely happy to upgrade to 34xx firmware!!!!! Satallite Acq has become so much faster! Even after, data reset!!
( after all, this is the whole purpose of this device )
p.s. will it be too much to ask if anyone able to share the "text" file for Japanese, Chinese? ( maybe it might able to display it? )
