    @ aiexbadboy

For example I prefer asian firmwares (taiwanese specifically) compared to 34xx. Unfortunately, they don't display eu JCV very well. (not possible full happines 34 search menu is very comfusing compared to 37 IMHO and in the far east part of Europe where I live we don't have such HI TECH things as "Digital 3D Traffic" or what ever this is...Don't think we will see something simmilar soon. There are countries where still don't have even TMC...So a vote for Asia

    We can add:
On 34xx you can browse the map while navigating, on 37xx now is quite impossible since latest firmware.
On 34xx after asking for a route it asks if you want pedestrian mode ,or public transports or car route: easier than using touch button on nuvi screen .
On 34xx you can choose nuvi to show in satellites page predictive ephemeris age and draw EPE circle on map-

Does it retain the better features of the 3790 ?

Such as much more detailed maps, showing the upcoming street names etc ?

so far im loving this 34xx fw than 37xx, nice overall layouts and functions, best improvement imo is the calculating/recalculating speed, which is exactly what i need.

    other improvements,

-map drawing speed on normal is much faster, car movement is also smoother.
-initial sattelite aquisition i feel its faster and stronger than 37xx and i think they use the same antenna.
-overall quickness of touchscreen transition time/responsiveness is much smoother.
-more street names appear under "more map detail" (i dont remember seeing that many street names on 3750 b4)
-able to change speed limit on simulator mode.

above r the noticeable improvements for me, other features such as advanced detour, trip planner etc i dont use them so i cant give out my opinion.
the rest r just eye candy, such as different poi icons, layouts etc.
1 thing i noticed abnormally, is while using simulation, car and the map "jumps" (dont know the correct term), but i believe its fixable through future fw update.

a quick question though, can a 3750 hardware support voice commands at all? because i cant get that to work on a 34xx fw..

lastly, im very happy and satisfied with this mod, i wont go back to 3750 anymore

When converting guide says to "Rename Txt ,Voices and Keyboards folders in your Nuvi to another name eg Petx Poices etc."
Is it necessary also to delete any other folders/contents or are the 37xx folders overwritten by new software? Eg Tutorials currently for 37xx will be 34xx after or still 37xx.

    @aiexbadboy
Yes voice feature can be activated in 3750 (see turboccc thread on enable extra features in 3750,60,70). Hardware wise you do need to solder in a small microphone as 3750 has spot on board but no mic. Again turboccc has had success doing this (refer post).

34xx needs different ASR files than 37xx, I redownloaded CNE and now voice command works perfectly
And yes 3750 doesnt have the microphone, you should add it

I just renamed those folders, I havent deleted any other folder-
After conversion run Webupdater to download needed files, as said.
In About and at start , converting the sw just flashing 34xx sw original as written in post n1, nuvi will show 3790/60 etc, but will act as a 34xx

Have completed initial steps and a little unsure how to proceed. Cleared non vol. renamed folders.
After dragging 34xx360.rgn onto updater and entering loader mode the device was identified as "Nuvi Blade Series " and software updated successfully to "Nuvi Blade Series Software Version 4.7"
Now I restart the device and logo still comes up and device looks unchanged from 37xx mode. In settings SW version 4.7 GPS ver 2.6
If I still get logo without updating the 34xx logo does this mean software is still 3790?

    EDIT - Fixed
Need to add a reminder in instructions to remove any GCDUPDATE from system folder.!!!!
