I did the upgrade and everything looks good except the voice direction. There is no voice direction.

    What files are needed?

I guess either you haven't re-loaded the voice files or named them back after the conversion. Check in the unit root for folder named 'Voice'. It should have the various *.vpm files in it, both non-TTS and TTS e.g. English_American_.vpn; English_American_Jill.vpm; English_American_Jack.vpm; Francais_Canadien_Julie.vpm; Francais_Canadien_Felix.vpm etc. If you don't have them connect to WebUpdater and download what you need from Garmin. Check you have Text and Keyboard files on-board too.

I did use webupdater to install the voice and installed the american english and select it in the menu but not working.

I download the attachment from last post and deleted the ones from GPS and copied the new ones. Also tested british english
I noticed there is an extra file in the voice folder called "english_america_.sum". Should that file be there?

    Thx

The *sum files are only results of checksums, you can safely delete them. The file's name would be english_american_.sum in fact.

If Voices still not working hard reset the unit if you haven't already.

Yep, should have ... that's why it's in the instructions.

Better late than never though. Caty will say typical males. One didn't read the instructions and the other one correctly guessed the first one didn't [probably because he wouldn't have either] ......
She even put it in red.

Hi, and thanks for nice detailed instructions.

I have flashed my Nuvi 3790 HWID 1101 from Europe with nuvi34xx_GCDFile__820.rgn via RGN tool,
all was fine and also did backup NV to sd, before flashing.
Now I got problems getting into pre-boot mode Again for flashing logo with 34xx_350_logo_hid1376.rgn,
I try many many times with no luck.
Could it be possible to flash 34xx logo and enable all features via sd Card ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
you missed probably this in OP:
Go to MTP Settings and set it to Mass storage mode.
Setting it to Storage mode you'll be able to flash the new 34xx logo in preboot mode with updater.
Could it be possible to flash 34xx logo and enable all features via sd Card ?

    Thanks in advance.
Read at: CURRENT METHOD: Another way to convert 34xx with logo and enable features
    convert37x34.zip (911 KB)
    (bottom of the page)

Thanks Catymag, for fast reply as usual.

I have set device to Mass storage mode, after clearing NV several times.
Allready downloaded convert37x34.zip, but I was not sure if this could be done,
    after flashing with RGN Tool.

So just to be 100% sure, now I copy all content from convert37x34.zip,
to an empty sd Card and restart device ?
