    Some info on RTL Trap.
I have not had the RTL TRAP for about 4 days.
    Unit has been 100%
Yesterday I loaded another map in memory card and did some changes to folder structure of Memory Card Using the Nuvi USB Cable.
On first boot it gave the RTL Trap, I've booted it a number of times after that and no problem.
I'm beginning to believe that it happens when files change.

Try to delete gupdade.gdc from unit memory and then do clear nonvol from diagnostic menu.
Also do all updates from My Dashboard. Occurance will deminish.

IMHO, best way to update firmware is to download the .gcd from support garmin site origin , put it in an sd and run it, I dont like MyDashboard at all, I heard about too many problems caused by getting sw from it.

Moingr has done the GDC file to 5.7 already. Dashboard or Webupdater are needed to get the Gmaptz and the updated voices etc etc.
Garmin is asking for owners of units 13xx and 14xx to delete the gupdate.gdc from the unit memory and to update all other files in order to minimise the occurence of the RTL trap error.

Read this whole thread and you'll see voices and timezone updates havent anything to do with RTLTrap error, the problem is in the firmware and deleting gupdate.gcd wont solve anything .
    Probably clearing Nonvol can help
