Please try with right click on updater.exe an run as administrator and report back.
Or try on pc with XP.
Whay on both nuvi write that you have the same FW as installed,on one is FW 3.60 and on another is 3.70?
Try with FW 5.40 that i send you.

I never wrote that both Nuvi's had the same firmware installed.
Anyway I right clicked and run as administrator, which again pops up UAC and asks for elevated permissions. Clicked yes and still have the strange problem. Also tried on another XP machine with the same error again. Strange though that both Nuvi's have the same issue.

    Try the following:
1 - download and unzip the archive to the root directory on your PC [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (0972_510)
2 - open the folder, run the updater.exe, choose a window - the second paragraph of usb-device
3 - turn on nuvi 1390 button POWER, hold your finger top / left corner of the screen, plug in the nuvi usb cable
4 - Start the firmware, click OK, as soon as the process of the firmware (the one in your video) - rhinestones, release your finger from the screen (finger on the screen does not hold).

    I apologize for the translation.

Look at your Video above, why your finger still keep tap and hold the screen during the firmware updating ? It is not Nuvi 37xx which need to tap and hold until firmware updater finished.

Doesn't matter if I release the finger or leave it, it does the same thing.

Well, I am more than sure than nothing can be done but ok lets play a little bit ....

Have you tried flashing different region? For example 0x10 the logo?

Have you tried installing firmware from an SD card (GCD)?

Are you sure you have the same problem shown on the video above? If it is AFAIK there is no solution for it otherwise read this topic:
