Many users experience similar issue. (+ crashing/freezing sometimes) Here two question for thinking over:

    - What about the other softwares (regions) of 34xx? Why not also using them for conversion? Main firmware, boot loader and graphical resources (this is what it is included in gcd/rgn) are just part of the 34xx softwares. But not all of them!

    - Are you sure 34xx and 37xx uses the same gps chipset firmwares? (Hint: No they aren't and this software is not stored in main firmware, boot loader and gir which you are using for the conversion)
Car "jumping" I experienced only once. On Nuvi screen I saw my position and a current route at some distance from me. Car was "jumping" until I reached a route. Then "jumping" gone.

P.S. all my other regions are from 3790. I only flashed 3490 FW .

Car "jumping" and satellite problem is also present in original nuvi 3490 with original FW (not converted from 37xx)

My 34xx is good, no jump. I use separated folders for each 37xx & 34xx.

But keep in mind guys that most of the nuvis are not the same - different PCB versions, different memories, diff. info on the regions etc. etc. etc...only God and Garmin knows what else...As I wrote in an other comment "nuvi number is an icon". That easily explains why some people observe such anomalities and others no after the conversion.

Siam, what is the GPS SW version of your nuvi 3750? Have a feeling that the number is not going to be changed after the conversion...

    Thanks,

PCB version is a magic number for me. I have 37xx and pcb is 8.
I did not know why pcb changed to 32 for sometimes of firmware conversion and I got poor reception.
It is fine when pcb is 8. ( at least for me).

34xx is not in my hand now, I will check gps firmware number for you later, ddabcd277. :Animated83

Some info on my Nuvi 3790->3490:
    My device info:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    GPS accuracy:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

GPS accuracy increased from 20 meters to 6 meters in a few minutes.
    I believe it's a quite good accuracy.

I have a converted 3790->3490 and I face the problem of reduced accuracy as well. My device however in contrast to voyager56's device is reported as 3790 (PCB ver. 8). Is this of any significance?

Probably we can make the first conclusion - PCB version 8 gives poor accuracy, when converted 37xx to 34xx. We need collect more information about PCB version versus GPS accuracy.
