    Default Garmin Nuvi 265W dead

    Who knew would make special firmware that flash memory erased and recorded new boot files? The device is a flash with bad firmware, permanently reboots after 2 seconds. Thank you.

    Garmin Nuvi 265W, HWID 0827

    PS: Something I did like the nuvi 1350, successfully. FW gave me ddabcd277. Thanks

    Last time I edited boot.bin (using RGN_tool) in the FW, what gave me ddabcd277. Since I probably will GARMIN logo and calibration and immediately restarts (rebooting loop in 2s).

    Hi Rik,

    Don't think someone knows how to prepare such firmware that can help except Alex and...I also know how to make one. Unfortunately, Alex most probably will not be available this month and as I wrote you I can't do it now. Next week if you wish write me PM and I will be happy to help you.

    Cheers,

    @ddabcd277
    Does Rik need a cure firmware that doesn't read anything from internal flash? Then I can try my patch

    @rik70
    I can give you patched firmware if you give me a GCD file that fits your device for sure. I don't want to be responsible for broken bootloader which no one can fix with software methods. Also I'm not sure that you need cure firmware because I didn't understand well enough your post. But anyway cure firmware will not worsen things.
