Your nuvi is empty becouse you formated.
Do you have backup of your nuvi?
If you have you must copy garmin folder (with remotesw,text,voice...) to SD card and with hex editor change all 0/: to 1/: and nuvi will start.
When nuvi start copy all garmin folder to nuvi internal memory and flash with original firmware.
Now you can delite folder garmin from SD card

Changing 0x31 or 0x30 in the nuvi 2xx FW won't fix the problem. Even if you success to enter in the nuvi memory and again format the flash memory in FAT I bet nuvi will still reboot. As you have seen the so called "cure" FW also won't help. If the nuvi was other model I know how this can be fixed but nuvi 200 are diferent. I have an idea and I think I can prepare a special FW in the next few days. The bad thing is that I don't know is it going to help or it could go worse.

    Cheers,

    Hello.

I think I leave this unit as it is. I don't have time for the moment.

    Thanks anyway.

Hi I have a Nuvi 205w an I am in teh same situation. I cannot access the internal memory of my 205w after I formatted it. I tried all kinds of cure fw and read through lots of forums. I am willing to try whatver since the unit is pretty much useless now.

    @ kublai

Ok, call me on skype. 2x5 most probably will be repaired. 2xx are difficult.

P.P.: I see comunication is hard. Better write me PM with the HwID of the unit.
