    Is there a way to extract the GCD file outside of the exe file. I need to look at some rgn options instead of having it load.

    I will find it eventually - the 250 file is for a different HWID, (mine is 870 and this 754 or close to that) but I was able to extract it with no problems. So I will continue the quest...

    @Redrock3
    Be careful! HWID 0754 is US/EU nuvi 7x0, not 7x5 which has HWID 0870. If you managed to flash 7x5 fw to a 7x0 or vice versa you'll likely hard-brick it. nuvi 7x0 fw is available here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or on perry site.

    PS: I have V3.60 for nuvi 7x5 HWID 0870 if that's any help. I'll upload on request, earliest on perry is V4.40 i think.

    No damage done because updater would not load it. Looks like I can now try what I hoped to do. I got three things going at once - trying a JTAG resuscitation of a bricked router, replacing an ipod 30 pin dock and this.
