is there any functional difference between chinese and taiwan fw?
    which one is more stable?

i flashed to chinese 2.40 last night on my 3750, didnt like it much so i flashed it back to usa 4.20 today.
reason: slower map drawing speed, slower vehicle movement (laggy sort of), system crash more often

wondering if tw fw is better or no

hey turboccc nice to see you here lol

    Hi badboy,

Yes, CHN may be a bit slower to redraw but I don't remember see it crash on me. Still, CHN allows me to see 3D Building view and see all POI icons on map at 80m. I like the Video and Media Player too although I do not use them often. All those features are on the TW version as well. I like the Where-To "Go to Office" which is not on the TW version.

What's new with v2.50? I cannot find it on Chinese site...

    I found it... LOL!

Boot.bin seems to be twice the size of previous version. Also, 190 new symbols in fw_resource.bin.

    @ Turbo

Can you write what filesystem is using your nuvi 3750? Is it FAT or FAT32?

    Cheers,

yes, I updated to CHN v2.50. I see nothing new. Not even the new icons.

Not sure why you ask, but I think it is FAT32.

No matter. Thanks for the information. Thought it is different. But so it is the same as others.

    Cheers,

Is the CHN firmware better than the TW and SG/MY?
