I will answer what I know.
    1. Put 3d or any other map img to ../Garmin/Map/
    2. Yes ../Garmin/.system/JCV/
    3. Jcv from map release specific for StreetPilot.
    4. Traffic don't work on Streetpilot Android
    5. Put them in ../Garmin/POI/ Not all pois work so must use ones that do. I hope someone with more experience with Speedcamera POI will share their experience.

Hmmm, I don't know about POI can be .gpx under Garmin/POI It needs to be built from .gpx or .csv into .gpi
For speedcam, you can use SCDB data and build .gpi via POILoader or you can use my conversion from Cyclop (because Cyclop won't work under SP) Note that SCDB alerts are not directional, while Cyclop's are.

Regarding JCV, only certain type/format will work for SP. Search around for the one you need (different countries/regions have different version for different unit)

You need JCV additional file that comes with the map you're using, the one that works in SP is from Nuvi 50. You can use icons to create .gpi file with size up to 24x24. Copy your favorites (.gpx) into GPX folder of SP & use menu to import them (Settings - Device).
