Sorry tomthered but I'm gonna say it : you must be joking !!!!!!! No hard feelings OK?

I've been using this software on my Nuvi 3490 for the past two years and for a year on my Galaxys.
You can have TTS voice, 3D Terrain, 3D buildings, Junction View, your custom POIs with your custom icons, up to 4 alternate routes, tracking, custom cars, custom Radars with your warning distance or speed.
You can load garmin and other vendors Road Maps, Topo Maps, semi transparent maps over other maps, marine maps (not the best choice), custom solid or transparent maps.
You can customize all those maps by changing almost everything, from road shape, color, width and transparency, you can change the color of cities, land polygones, rivers, lakes, you can even change the icons of the map's official POIs and make your own Map Themes.
You can have 1,2,...10,..20.... maps loaded at the same time (but not checked all of them at the same time) and use anyone you need!
All these for free and any Garmin map can unlock with two cliks in two seconds and then copy-paste.
There are 3 things that can't do, Traffic, Voice warning and Search custom POIs.
I make my own Radar files and I use no audio file when I compose the file and SP gives me a din-din warning sound at the distance I've set.
And on my SG2 and SG5 is twice as fast as on my Nuvi 3490, so I use my Nuvi only on long trips and not every day!!!

I have Copilot, TomTom (is a joke of nav), Sygic (crazy rooting most of the time) and iGo, so use SP for a while and then you will believe me....

iGO is still the best of everything. Navigon still got one of best TTS. CoPilot has potential but it's way too big and hard to get it working now a day. Sygic function is one step forward and two step back. Nokia HERE is basic, jerky in moving. TomTom is very basic and not best looking, doesn't rotate smoothly when turning. Garmin SP is quite smooth when scrolling, no longer jerky in moving; couple of minor issues. Anyone got the latest North America speedcam in GPI format?
@x-trail, what is procedure to get ding warning sound with distant set?

I include only .gpx files and .bmp files in the folder to be read by PoiLoader.
Because there is no .wav file in the folder, there is no notification voice or sound in the produced .gpi file and when I reach the notification distance from a poi, Garmin plays the default notification sound (din-din) because there is no other sound in the .gpi file to play.

When I include a .wav or a .mp3 file in the folder to be read by PoiLoader, the produced .gpi file has inside a sound associated with these pois but StreetPilot is unable to play any sound that is included in the .gpi file and so the result is silence.

Ok, it make sense now. Would you attach an example of the .gpx file and .bmp that you use? I just want to look at the format so I can write a script to put Cyclop poi's in it. I can't use PoiLoader (because it needs WinXP SP3) but I'm going to use JaVaWa or Garmin Creation Toolkit to make the .gpi file.

Here is the .zip file that contains the folder (.gpx .bmp) and the generated .gpi file for cameras in Greece.
I manually enter the distance for every category in PoiLoader.
    - BusLane: 500m
    - CCTV: 500m
    - FixedCams: 1000m
    - MobileCams: 1000m
    - WarningCams: 500m

No matter what I do, I can only use icon of size up to 24x24. It looks really small compare to Garmin own POI icons. Anyway to making the user POI icons same size as Garmin POI icons?

    JCV OK
    3D Map OK
DEM still not checked, as I live in a very flat area...
I imported GPX from my 3490 (originally 3790) without any issue
I copied all additional files from Nuvi:

I guees I don't really need the last ones, right? What about the other ones?

What about trafic info? Is there any way to get it?

Thanks a lot in advance for your feedback.

Hello everyone, many thanks to original posters and for sharing the work!

I have a Lenovo A328 phone, running 4.4.2 KK, it has resolution 848x480px and SD card is in path /storage/sdcard1 and it is rooted.
I decided to try the "800x480" version and installed StreetPilot_2.35pi_800x480_storage_sdcard1_signed.apk

I see inside APK that libgarminos.so has proper path, too (mine seems to be "sdcard1" for external card).
I had from previous StreetPilot v2.33 installation on GalaxtTab III the complete "Garmin" folder, copied it to /storage/sdcard1/Garmin/ as needed.

Installed this APK and then, rebooted. But I remembered that I read somewhere that before first-run it is highly advised to wipe cache. Is this still needed?
Just in case, I rebooted in recovery (Lenovo's, not CWM etc.) and chose to "wipe cache". Rebooted again.

First start of the app showed Garmin logo, saying "System Initializing".
Then I had the error "The application was forced to close" etc. but it seems loading in the background. I was asked to turn on GPS.
Then I had a screen (properly sized) with empty "Locale" dialog to choose (between up/down arrows). Found a way to press OK, but touch screen not properly assigned.
Managed to exit from inside the app.

So it didn't seem to read my "Garmin" folder. Restarted app.

Then I get a proper screen asking me for "American English" locale. Nothing else available (no voices, etc.) Buttons work now. Arrived to main menu screen, exited app.
Checked my Garmin folder... it's there.

Re-run the app. Now I only get a black screen... Nothing at all. Waited...
Starting touching the Menu and Home buttons... Nothing.

I have to reboot to see something when I run Street Pilot; but it doesn't seem to read my own GARMIN folder... Any idas?

Could it be because I am rooted?

I tried the other "pack" (960x540 etc.) but the screen resolution was cropped and touching buttons didn't work. That was a disaster... Reverted back to 800x480 pack, using /storage/sdcard1 path package.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I did try moving the Garmin folder inside the sdcard1/Android/com.garmin.something/files/Garmin/ but nothing happened. Even moved basic Garmin stuff to /emulated/0/ !

I suggest you try internal path first. Just install Apk with your internal path and run. You should get to Main Screen by pressing OK. If stuck on Locale, the oath is wrong. Restart the app few times, see if it runs normally. Android KK has issues with external memory.

Thank you flagmax, I also thought of trying this with minimal English and Greek languages, icons, voices, and small map. However, please advise... Which one is the official internal?

    /storage/sdcard0/Garmin/
    /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin/
    or
    /mnt/sdcard/Garmin/

I have all 3 paths shown in ES File Explorer that I am using. What is the official path of the app itself, when downloaded from developer?

    Many thanks!
