    Default GPX files

    Hi,

I managed to install Street Pilot v2.33 as per this thread: Garmin Street Pilot res 800x480 v.2.33 Android non-root 4.2.2 to 4.4.4
Everything is up & running; "so far, so good".

    My question:
Is it possible to upload old tracks (in gpx format) and make them visible in the display?

I noticed the GPX folder in: com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin and experimented with it but unfortunately: no joy.

    Any help is much appreciated,
    Cheers

PS, my phone is a HTC One m7

The GPX folder in StreetPilot is where your favorites live. While you can import your tracks there, they simply turn into favorites. I'm unaware of any track capability in StreetPilot.

in that case: where does the track log reside? there's an option to show your tracklog (light blue color).

what I would like is to use Street Pilot as an ordinary handheld Garmin Gps to follow a previous ridden trail (track)
    any ideas? any one?

I did find a so called .trip file (in .System) but changing or deleting it didn't make the track log dissapear or show an uploaded .gpx file renamed .trip...

With SP 2.35, using Settings, General, Export GPX, it creates Current.gpx in ./Garmin/gpx which I was able to open in Mapsource. Tracks and waypoints shows ok. But I don't know of any way yet to Import tracks back to SP. Waypoints import fine however. So it could be a bug or feature not implemented, (note to myself: need to check v2.36 and 2.37). I recall reading somewhere GPX export/import is brocken in 2.33.

fyi, I believe the tracks are store in this file it is unknown Garmin file format to me, I hope some skillful data miner can make sense of it.

    update:
Found some valuable info on this site. Someone already convert NVM to GPX. Now we just need to go the other way. There is source code in pascal.
