Installed as per post #83 on my galaxy tab 3 lite and all looked good. Loaded maps, menus all fine, GPS working, voice, search all good but go to View Map and all I get is a jumble of Garmin icons and random menu text. If I zoom right out eventually the world map appears, but if I then zoom in on the detailed map, it goes back to the screen full of icons.

Any ideas what this might be and how can I fix it? Is it a resolution problem (tab 3 lite is 1024x600)?

"After short testing with my SGS2 and Mediapad M1 I think that app is worth of its 'price'... However, I already discovered one annoyance which I think is common for this kind of apps: hazards are scanned and warnings given within a certain radius around the current location, even if they are not on your route."

I believe this shortcoming of speed cams/traffic light warning is also present in Nuvis. It seems to be based on radius rather than the route and direction you are going. I notice that on my Nuvi 2575.

The second apk from post #58 works nearly perfect on Redmi Note (did not try the first apk). Battery icon works normally. Only hiccup is that when you do a search under "Address", the SP wil freeze if you try to go back to the main menu without selecting the "Go" button after finding your destination.

    Asian JCV works after patching.

It is installed on ext sd: /sdcard1

    Great job, lolypop000! Much appreciated.

The 'official' cam alerts (inside Garmin maps and Cyclops files for instance) work most of the time well in my Nuvi 760 i.e. only the cams actually on my route or driving direction will give an alarm. The free custom POIs available on many sites however don't have this direction information.

The external alerting app I'm testing with SP uses SCDB.info database with some directional information so it *should* work better than the simple POIs. I asked the developer about the detection of cams, as well as possibility to narrow down the so called detection angle (the virtual sector in front of your car where the cams are other hazards are actually 'seen'). They answered me as follows:

"Most of the speed camera in our database do have an information about the direction that is observed. But there are some speed cameras in countrys far away form Germany we are not certain about the direction. In case of this the speed camera does not have any direction tag the alerts will be given in all directions. The so called detection angle is about 120 degree because 90 degrees are too less in areas full of montains."

My apology. It's an error on my part. The warnings work correctly in the direction of travel on my Nuvi 2575. I mistook it for the Oregon 600 whereby if the routing is not set, the warning would come on within the predefined radius. Perhaps, it could be due to some incorrect setting on my part, or incorrectly customised POIs.

I used the apk for /storage/sdcard2 and install on my sdcard1 and it runs well. I checked the libgarminos on my device (Redmi Note) and it showed sdcard2, not sdcard1. Other than a minor hitch with the search function, all runs well, including JCV for Asian maps and N American and Europe maps. 3D works as well.

I think it was mentioned somewhere here that one solution worth of trying is to install SwiftKey Keyboard. Behavior of space key should however changed from settings so that it will not try to autocorrect but only send a space char.
