Working well on my Nexus 5, Unrooted, KK 4.4.4

    Steps taken:
    I installed apk,
Then I copied the files into /sdcard/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/
I also copied voices from my Garmin-Asus A10 to /sdcard/Garmin/Voice/
After copying the maps into their respective folders, all seems to be working well.

I understand from the posts that this version of SP only works for Dalvik.
With the impending release of Android L, which is reported to only work with ART, does it mean we will be losing SP?

    Samsung Galaxy S5 4.4.2 noroot

In continuation of my post [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] about the installation of SP on Galaxy S5, I've made a drawing of folders and files structure of:
-- what I had created on my PC,
-- what was created automatically on the SDcard after installation and SP Language run and 1st SP run
-- how the structure should be after I had copied everything (before SP's 2nd run).

I might have missed it, is there a special lib or a tweak for resolution 1280x800?

I'm running it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but the proportions are not as desired. The three "round" buttons on the map view look like they got too much pressure (meaning not really round but too flat).

    Any ideas?

No, there is no fix for what you are describing. The reason you are seeing oval circles is because your device aspect ratio does not match device that was intended to run Streetpilot at 1280x720 older version and 1920x1080 newest version. What is happening is Streetpilot draws the screen at 960 by 540 resolution then it upscales it to fit your screen resolution. So in Portrait the round buttons will look flattened because they have to stretch extra 80 pixels but in Landscape stretched out vertically. If someone does try to fix it I think they would need to change the 960x540 view surface to match your aspect ratio which about 1.6, so 960x600 would work, then when it upscales, it will look perfect on your screen resolution.

I am tempted to check into it.

Thank you for this very good explanation. It would be quiet nice if somebody, probably you ;-) could fix this. My other tablet, an LG G Pad 8.3 with a resolution of 1920x1200 would proft from this as well.

For now, I'm happy that there is a version for newer (than 4.1.2) Android versions as well.

try to rename your map file to gmapprom.img - this version does not support "speaking" names like "CN-2014.20.img", e.g.

    Hello guys.
I managed to Install SP 2.33 on my rooted note 3.
Everything looks fine. Map OK, poi looks OK, try importing my favourite (gpx) from garmin nuvi works fine but...
When I do a poi search and find it, when I click on Info ( i button) or Go button, SP crached (unfortunately SP has stop....)

    Any ideas?

    Thank you
