I think it works only on full HD, perhaps the professors would work on display driver

OK got my map to be detected. Had to put it in /garmin/.system folder. Also if I put an unlocked IMG file as opposed to a free one, the program FC's.

A few hints of how I get this working on my Note 3 rooted stock 4.4.2.
    1.Install the apk
    2.Go to data/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/lib
3.copy the right libgarminos.so and give permission rwx r-x r-x
    4.copy the libasusscreendict.so, libasusscreendictservice.so and libgmxt.so in system/lib/ and give permission rw- r-- r--
5.rename your old Garmin folder from extSdCard in gmxt
6.unlocked map need to be on this folder as gmxt/.System/gmapprom.img

If I understand the thread at Sosaw correctly, Garmin is not running in ART.
    Need Dalvik

Ok, my way how I did it and still crashes:

    Nexus 5, rooted, KitKat 4.4.4
    1. Copy "StreetPilot.apk" to /data/app
    2. Changed permissions to rw- r-- r--
    3. Used "libgarminos.so" for /storage/sdcard0/Garmin/
    4. Copied the "libgarminos.so" to/data/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/lib/
    5. Changed permissions to rw- r-- r--
    6. Copied "libasusscreendict.so", "libasusscreendictservice.so" and "libgmxt.so" to /system/lib/
    7. Changed permissions to rw- r-- r--
    8. Reboot into Recovery
    9. Wipe Dalvik and Cache
    10. Reboot
    11. StreetPilot application shows up in the app drawer
    12. Starting
    13. "Unfortunately, StreetPilot has stopped."
Did I change one time too often the permissions?

    Switched to Dalvik, no difference

    Cheers
    Tom

No change, the crash message is still the same.
You have a Note 3 with KitKat 4.4.2, mine is a Nexus 5 with KitKat 4.4.4.

I did exactly the same, changed permissions as you said, with or without these, still black screen at launch.... have to kill the app to exit. No go on Note2 n7100 with OmegaV29 Android 4.4.2. Other ideas?

    StreetPilot 2.3.3 for Note 3 android 4.4.2
It has all language: install them using StreetPilot Language shortcut
    Put content in extSdCard/gmxt

This can be used for other devices running 4.4.2 that are using storage/extSdCard

This is for nonroot users and use sdcard/Garmin
