I'm hoping to get some help here.
I have an LG Optimus F3 phone which is rooted.
I tried many different SP.apk till I got one that would start on my phone. Most would not started. The one I finally got to work on my phone, not even sure where I found it, was StreetPilot_216MD_Generic_Signed.
It will show the maps when they are on the internal storage. Since this phone has such a small amount of space, I need the maps on my external sd card. I tried a bunch of different libgarminos.so files with no luck. So I started to look at them with a hex editor and tried to change the path to my external sd, but I'm not getting to work.
With a app like Total Commander it shows my external as "storage/external_SD". When I've tried to change the libgarminos.so file I made it was /storage/external_SD/Garmin/ did not work. Also tried /external_SD/Garmin/.
Any help, suggestions for SP to see my maps on the external sd would be greatly appreciated.

You must look at your external sd path in your phone and use the related libgarminos along the libgarminos related apk. If it doesn't exist yet unpack the apk, add the right libgarminos, sign the apk and repack it.
But you don't tell us which Android are you running and I don't know which apk have you used.
Read with care post n1 and 2 and post in the above thread.
In post n2 you find all the libgarminos for different paths
