from a BlackWolf post in another thread :for people who do not want to root their Android devices, my idea is to repack original StreetPilot .apk files and adding patched libgarminos.so and libgmxt.so, which would replace the original .so files - libgarminos.so, libgmxt.so , which are inside .apk, so in that way patched files will be added to the places where they need to be added, and the installation would then be ok too for no-rooted devices

If your phone does not replace the libgarminos file at reboot, you can use any apk and place the modified libgarminos in the correct path. But if your phone does not work that way and if replacing the file on every reboot is too much of a hassle, you have two further options

    1) Use a blank apk, ie an apk which does not have the libgarminos lib file included. Then you just need to place the modified libgarminos file in the correct path and nothing gets overwritten on reboot.
    2) Or you can decompile the apk, and make the necessary changes in the libgarminos file and recompile it with the modified file.

    Thank you K.chinnachot.
I'm downloading the file. I will report the result when done.

Edited: It works. I have to copy & rename en_ GB.glx to /data/data/com.garmin..../system/Text/th_TH.glx, edit the file header to follow th_TH_xxx.glx and set the display language to Thai.

Eula should not appear after you set up SP and close SP properly. If by some chance it keeps coming back, go to Garmin/.system/EULA and rename EULA to something else. Guaranteed to never come back again.

    Friends.
Someone figured out how to operate the radar sounds?
Because here in Brazil there are many radars. Thank you.

    Huawei Ascend Y300 - Phone
    800x480 - Rooted - New Zealand

I can confirm full operation with Garmin and homemade street and topo maps. No issues after a couple of days testing.

Unlike shunjo2001 at post #287 that version did not work for me. My SD card is recognised as /Storage/sdcard0/

    My method.

    Well done developers.

Hi. I tried it and it works but with some annoying BUGS. I have unrooted, untouched LG Optimus G Pro (1920x1080 resolution). I put the Garmin forlder (from post 469) and .apk for external_SD (I belive that's the propper version for my phone). The proggie works (tiny letters but it's O.K.) Choice of text and voice works flawlessly. It's way faster than iGo PRIMO. The GPS finds satellites within a minute (indoors, flat, 1st floor, next to a window). The issues are:

    - exits/crashes when I click GPS Settings (not a biggie, didn't wanna change them anyways)

    - EVERY TIME I start it, I HAVE TO SET THE WHOLE THING FROM START (locale, voice, metric units)

    - When I rotate it in landscape, my finger movements are always interpreted as scrolling for upwards (I drag my finger down but it scrolls up XD)

    What am I doing wrong?
Otherwise AWESOME THREAD and the app rocks :D
    respect to the devs
    Thanx in advance

Sorry nothing to do for it

read manojmat's quote in post n2. If it's just locales etc you must just lock satellites and it wont do it again, read post n1

I have no idea, never heard about this behaviour.
