Not problem for help, voice, etc. , like Lollypop discovered, put Garmindevice.xml on some removable memory, usb stick or whatever, not must be phone. and run Webupdater, all files will be downloaded , it's known from past , nothing new , just need to think a little bit more like Lollypop who has alway nice ideas ... I wrote about Text files, cause Lollypop posted Text files, and most of people only need Text files - menu languages ...

Hehe, no problem, most important thing is that we understand each other, so you can use google translator, my russian isn't better too , and english isn't well, but we try to be better .

Well there is a reason as to why the XML files are still encrypted. You used WinRAR to expose the directory structure. I use APKTool, which is specifically for Android apps. It not only unpacks the APK but also decrypts all XML files as well. After making the appropriate edits, it then can be used to encrypt and pack the APK as well. If it was a .JAR file I was wanting to unpack, I could use APKTool on that as well, but the Smali and Baksmali tools work better for that purpose. The point is moot anyway. There are no XML files controlling language, and Garmin has apparently put proprietary code into the APK, which the tools I mention cannot handle.

P.S. All tools mentioned are part of the Android Software Development Kit.

all the ways described in the GarminDevice.xml.
    most similar to nuvi 2595.
to download text, voice, and other, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] copy to "yousdcard"\garmin\GarminDevice.xml. and run webupdater.

You understand my post literally, it was more joke "not necessary decompiling .apk" , that's reasony why i added smiley on the end of that sentence , cause i found way of changing text-languages, and that not necessary anymore to research about that matter, cause it's solved by my discovery ...

Sure, that is necessary for seriously decompiling appropriate tools and AND SDK, and tool like APKtool,

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

and other tools for reverse engineering .apk files , apk sign tool, and other similary tools for seriously modifying.. I just renamed .apk to .zip, and just showed simple structure, not deeper, cause i discovered before way of changing text-langs, and didn't have interest to continue on reverse engineering...

So all now have solution for changing menu-text langugaes, and enjoy it

Not must be joke, but something like "not so seriously" , "for fun", capisce? My english isn't well to use some more appropriate word ... Smiley = not so serious, like "yeah we solved it without reverse engineering, not necessary decompiling" ... However, enjoy it, not is solved ... Not necessary more discussion, decompiling, or whatever ...
