    Stock ICS 4.0.4 - rooted, with stock kernel, people be warry at flashing custom roms, with ICS 4.0.4 stock, cause it's very danger caused by bugy eMMC chip on older mbs, with newer not much problems, so it's recommended to flash some of insecure kernels like siyah, etc. and then to flash with some custom roms, read bellow,

    JB you used isn't official version, most of them are leaked , customized versions, so maybe to try on official JB, it will published like is announced by Samsung at the end of november 2012, i hope...

    bytheway, saw yours screenshoots but on my s2 there are like 5 or maybe something more millimeters missing from the screen... maybe we are not using the right resolution?

    Thank you!
    You can use different voice languages, download them here on noeman.org, use button search and you'll find Garmin voices, put them in folder Garmin\Voice , and then change language in SP, in menu lang-voices.

    Menu-text languages you can't change for now, only english and chinese are available for using, cause menu languages are integrated somewhere in installation, we'll see if there will be some progress soon...

    This release originally is ported from Asus PadFone2, which has resolution 1280x720, so it fits better for S3, HTC OneX, and devices with 1280x720 resolutions,

    for 800x480 devices like your SGS2 isn't adapted well for now, so wait until some of people from this scene modify it on better way for 800x480 devices..

    Try using external sd - micro sd card, i tested it from sd card-internal memory and external sd - micro sd card, when installation is on external sd - settings are saved, otherwise when is on sd card - didn't save settings.

    Try more things, instead of more questions , and post here your results ! It's not interesting when somebody gives you answer on all your questions, it's more interesting when you make more tests, and then post your expirience here ... On that way you'll learn on better way for future. I didn't test JCV, you can use some for higher resolutions, for newer devices, and use appropriate ofr NT or NTU maps, dependent which you use...

    Doesn't matter first or second , the best way to learn, is to try , you'll see, if you learn something on harder way, you'll remember that much better ! So just easy, do more tests, and post here your expirience, to share with other noeman's members...

    I don't have problems with saving settings, when installation is on my external sd - micro-sd card, using package Catymag posted on previous page for 800x480 devices .

    My friend, there is no Text folder inside Garmin root folder, or inside .System folder, no any Text folder for menu-text languages, it seems is part of installation, and menu lang files need to be added in installation .apk file, until some of people who ported this release - voodoo discover some way of using another languages, instead english and chinese... For now only english and chinese is possible tu use ...

    To add languages for the menus requires decompiling the APK file. If the decompiled file is anything like framework-res.apk it will have a directory structure looking something like this:

    Streetpilot.apk
    ---->xml
    ---->xml-enUS
    ---->xml-cn

    In the xml-enUS and xml-cn directories are found XML files with the language specific menu items. It should in theory be possible to translate the English XML file to another language and add it to the app. The XML which controls the language setup will have to be changed to add the new language or else the app will never offer the new language.

    Praise for me :P ! Black Wolf found solution for menu languages !

    Open Text folder inside data\data\com.Garmin.android.apps.gmobilext there is System folder, inside that folder is Text, just copy-paste there .glr lang files (i tried .glx posted by lollypop, they work too), and voila - solved by Black Wolf , it works 112%

    Files which lollypop posted work, expect soon screen shots by BW

    like i promised, SS bellow, in this case i used slovenian lang, info for lollypop, solution only for you my friend , so lolly now you can use lang which you want

    ***update info: all languages posted by our friend LollyPop work great !

    Enjoy it

    p.s.
    4Strephon not necessary decompiling .apk at all ... Bellow you can see structure of Street Pilot .apk, many files are ecnrypted, even .xml

    Please don't copy-paste my post on another gps forums, or if you copy it, write source of info = Black Wolf from noeman.org
