    To get things staight...
Both Favorites and Custom Pois are shown on the map after you start a route.

    Favorites
They appear on the map as green heart icons on the map.
You can search for them from Where to>Favorites and also by pressing them on the map with your finger.
How do you load them to the device
On your PC, create a .gpx file containing all your favorite points.
On your device, create a GPX folder inside Garmin folder and copy there the .gpx file you 've created.
Start Streetpilot and go to Settings>Device>Import/Export GPX and press Import
Now all your favorite points are shown in Favorites.

Custom Pois (with or without proximity alerts)
They appear on the map with "your" custom icon.
This icon has to be up to 23x23 pixels .bmp and can be both 24 bit and 8 bit (Garmin's transparent pink) color depth.
You can NOT search for them from Where to>Categories>Custom Poi's
Their categories are shown OK, but the are ...empty (at least on my SGSII).
You can search for each Custom Poi by its name on the Search Bar or you can press their icons on the map.
If you have Custom Pois with Proximity Alert, you wil be alerted only VISUALLY (the blue driving instructions bar turns grey with the name of the Cutom Poi)
Ther is no sound or voice alert, because there is no setting to enable such an alert (as in Nuvis).
How do you load them to the device
Use Poiloader program to create your .gpi file and don't send it to device, but to your PC.
Copy this .gpi file to your device in \Garmin\POI\ folder.
You can create multiple .gpi files according to their characteristics (categories).
For example you can have Speedcam.gpi and Genenal.gpi and Travel.gpi and Austria.gpi and SkiResorts.gpi and so on and on.

If you have added Cyclops Cameras .gpi file, you cannot see them during simulation because Streetpilot is always driving at the correct speed limit of each road and camera.

Thanks x-trail, I'd already figured out that one of my imported favorites was the "heart" I assumed was from my custom POI's (duplicated).

I've also found that although you can delete imported GPX data, any categories that are imported are retained in /data/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/persist/Garmin/nonvol/GARMIN.NVM, so if any empty/unused categories need to be removed this file must be deleted (puts you right back in Taiwan and you go through the initial setup again) ecoroute data is also stored here along with vehicle & pedestrian icon selection ( and lots more). GARMIN_WPT.NVM is where the GPX data is imported to.

As seen below, CityXplorer can be enabled in StreetPilot. I assume that all the supported features listed in Streetpilot are available:
Supported Features: Part Number: Rev: 01

    3D Buildings
    3D Terrain
    TTS Phonetics
    Junction View
    Lane Assist
    Speed Limits
    Traffic
    EULA
Historic Traffic <..... would this happen to be nuroute traffictrends?
    Custom Avoidances
    Advanced Detours
    3D Buildings Supplementary <....... ????? edit: OK, I got it ....3DMap #2 = gmap3d1.img

I've only had/have/use Garmin MobileXT (Palm) and a Nüvi 1450, so I'm wondering about the items pointed out above...?

I've found that the Nüvi 30/40/50 series JCV works in portrait (split screen with map) and landscape (full image) on StreetPilot. The 23xx JCV would only display during simulation when the turns button was pressed and not while actually displaying the route/map (the notification bar would turn gray, but the junction view would never display).

Just managed to install this in my Samsung S3. Works fine, but slightly more sluggish compared to Sygic..

Besides gmapprom.img, are there other valid map names? I tried gmapsupp.img which was valid under Mobile XT, but Streetpilot doesn't see it. For the moment, I've used GMapTool to combine all the maps I want into one big img file.

One other thing I noticed is that the clock in StreetPilot is wrong even though time on the phone is correct. I'm in Hong Kong (GMT +8), but the clock in Streetpilot is 14 hours behind.. e.g. Current time is 9:00am, 20 January in Hong Kong, but the time shown in Streetpilot is 7:00pm, 19 Jan.. I can't find anywhere to set this..

Have you added a gmaptz.img ? If you dont have timezone map it cant be right concerning map naming I think you can use gmapprom .img , but also anyname.img see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] , read post n2

Finally had the chance to actually use StreetPilot on the road. I think the way it is now its way too laggy even on a quad core CPU like the Samsung GS 3. The screen update is way too slow, and the GPS update seems to lag behind your actual position quite a bit. Worse problem, however, is there seems not to be a way to use the actual GPS position instead of showing you on the road. For locations with roads close to each other, StreetPilot would jump you around different roads every few seconds depending on the GPS accuracy.

Guess I'll stick to sygic for now unless I'm in China, where sygic doesn't have a map.

It would be nice, that all you, who suceed to run Garmin SP on some of Android phones with JB, to write more details, like which version you have ex. 4.1.1, 4.1.2, which ROM, officially, moded, which Garmin SP .apk you used 1.49, 2.0.1, 2.12 or whatever, which libgarminos.so, etc. , cause many people here are owners of SGS3, and other phones with JB, and your experience will be useful for them...

Your writing "suceed to install on my SGS3" is useless for most of member, if you don't write more details, like when you write more details about your problem with time zone, and you get help, think on other people, which ask for help about SGS3, and if you write more details about your experience, will be helpful for many owners of SGS3, and other phones with JB!

My SGS3 is still on ICS 4.04. That's why I didn't bother to write anything else as it is supposed to work on ICS. It's an original Samsung ROM but rooted..
