Thats why I am asking for an apk file with the right libgarminos file in to it
Thank you for drawing my attention to this!

I've spent around 20 (!!) hours experimenting and fumed, i always followed the instructions (that was the mistake!), tried all the libraries and the outcome was black screen or "StreetPilot is only available in PadFone mode." every time!

I was just about to change my ROM to a stock based to test on that, when i read your post, and realized that my file is overwritten every time!

Finally, i managed to get it work on my SGS2, with 4.04 ICS - PFittech GTX Neutrino ROM.

    So:
Attention: DO NOT RESTART your phone - unlike the guide says - after you overwrite the libgarminos.so file in /data/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/lib !!!

It seems we have to overwrite this file every time we restart our phones for some reason.

Because of this, we REALLY do have to integrate this file into the APK!

It's a version of Cyanogenmod 9, a new OS for your phone that Is dIfferent than what Is supplIed by Samsung. You flash it via clockworkmod recovery, a boot loader you install to get root. IF YOU INSTALL IT IT WILL DELETE YOUR ENTIRE PHONE AND **** UP YOUR SD. BE BEWARE. Only Install thIs If you know how to do a full backup of your phone. As far as roms go its not very good, but for some reason the sound works for Street Pilot. No idea why, the sosaw peeps don't know why either. I hear a legitimate version of street pilot will be out. In the next few months as the exclusive contract with ASUS expires for android. That means we can all buy a real version and not the hacked Chinese crap.

2 days I am trying..... and StreetPilot overwrite the libgarminos.so not only after restart the phone, but every time I start the program!!!

As I said, only lolypop's apk worked well but with wrong resolution.... apk file has the resolution "inside" it and we cannot change it.... every time I start the program, it overwrites mine libgarminos.so that i had copied (800x480) and it puts the libgarminos.so that had from the beggining the apk file!!

What I mean that is working well is that I start and close program several times. I use "Link2SD" to move it to SD card (to freeup internal memory of my phone) and it still working after that...

So, we just need a version of lolypop's apk file, with 800x480 resolution inside it.....please...!!! This is the solution I think....

(I say again that I have HTC HD2 with Android ics 4.0.4)

    Hmm, that's many strange!
I've just checked, and it does not overwrite with app-start & quit! ...With my version. (I've downloaded it from mobilism (links in the first post))
It overwrites only with phone restart.

It's not true, i use stock ICS 4.0.4 - no problem,

no overwriting libgarminos.so, not put again libgarminos.so every time after restart, etc.! Check did you set right permissions on libgarminxt.so like is described on 1st page in catymag's post with instructions ,

Copy the file "libgmxt.so" from the unzipped lib package to the to "/system/lib/" folder and change its permission to "rw-r--r--"

So, like i wrote above Garmin SP AND, works ok on stock rom ICS 4.0.4, not problems after restarting phone, etc.
