My map was original microSD card bought from Garmin with preloaded topo, and I used an unlocker to try it with Streetpilot, but maybe it's not unlocked properly. I'll use the other tools and see.

SP works fine with new Garmin CityNavigators , crashes in calculating and recalculating routes are normal with these maps.
Thanks, good to know. I have been rebooting device before starting the Streetpilot app, in case it was memory issues on tablet, but I might DL the newer Garmin CN maps and see how it goes.

You can use Advanced Tasks Manager to kill apps in background, instead of restarting phone.

Hi I am new here and I need some advise. I consider to replace my old broken Nokia C6 (with garmin mobile XT on it) with a Runbo X5 (specs are listed below). Is the StreetPilot app the same as the mobile XT app ? Do topographic maps work on street pilot? Do somebody have experience with streetpilot on a Runbo X5? Are there any indications that street pilot wont work on the Runbo X5 (wrong hardware etc.). Since the resuloution is 480 x 800 I should install the streetpilot 2.0.1 version (Am I right to assume that the street pilot 2.14 version only is for higher resulutions?).

    Runbo X5 specs:
    Platform: MTK6577
CPU: Cortex TM-A9, Dual Core, 1.0GHz High Speed
    O.S.: Android 4.0.4
    Storage: Build-in Memory: RAM 1GB + ROM 4GB
Extend Memory: Micro SD(TF) Card, Max. 32GB
    RF band: 3G, WCDMA 850/1900/2100
    2G, GSM850/900/1800/1900
    PTT: PTT Walkie Talkie 400 ~ 470 MHz or 136 ~ 174 MHz
    Dimensions: 154*73.5*25mm (L*W*H)
Display: Capacitive Touch Screen, Multi-touch 5 Points, 4.3" WVGA
    Resolution: 480*800

I have read all previous posts and I hope Im posting in the right thread and dont spam. If I buy a Runbo X5 it will be my first android phone. Overall Im inexperienced with the installation/modification of apps.
Thank you for making this great app available for android.

Not sure about the Runbo X5, but specs look like it might work. I have come from mobile XT on Nokia and WM6 as well. In short:

    * Streetpilot is similar to Mobile XT but not exactly the same. More features mainly and menu items moved around. But it has some issues, at least for me. It seems to randomly crash, and other posts and threads here indicate that crashes when calculating routes happens to different devices. So, when it works, it works well, but doesn't appear as stable as Mobile XT was for me.
    * Topo maps work fine on mine (I've used original garmin topo maps I bought on SD and they work fine, but had to unlock the img).
    * I had to install 1.49 on my tablet (with Exynos quadcore, running 4.04 with 2GB RAM and 1280x800 res) because the 2.01 and 2.16 didn't work for me.
    * if your external SD Card is not standard, you might need to use a HEX editor to open libgarminos.so and modify it to show your external SD path. Mine is /mnt/extsd for example, and that wasn't in the included libgarminos.so files. Also if you do this I think you need your phone rooted. more info in this thread [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I have found that Streetpilot works well when it works, but for reliability, I have also installed iGo primo.

Finally my beloved Garmin Mobile XT (Nokia N78-1 and Vivaz Pro) to Android!!!

Tested on Alcatel 997D (4.0.4) and works great! I can use my Greek detailed maps to my smartphone again! Now I can retire my Vivaz Pro. I'm very happy!

No other maps or navigation applications have the level of detail of the Autodrive and Anavasis Greek maps of Garmin devices.

Another StreetPilot version which supports ICS?

    Thank you!

P.S. I downloaded the Garmin.rar, the application installer, copied the Garmin folder to sd card, installed it and works great! My smartphone isn't rooted!

I have HTC One V Android 4.0.3. Installed streetpilot 1.49 EXTERNAL_SD. It works without maps. When i add map EXTERNAL_SD/Garmin/Map and start the streetpilot it says "loading maps" then few seconds and phone home screen apears ?
And battery icon also in streetpilot shows wrong.
I read the thread from 1 to 24 page and dont see the answer of problem.

I installed GSP 2.0.1 it greates Garmin folder to the sdcard where is only 2 folders Garmin and .System (Should not be more ?). When i greate map folder and put there GMAPSUPP.IMG ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ] working in HD2 Garmin mobile XT) and start the streetpilot it says "loading maps" then few seconds and phone home screen apears ? (battery icon ok !)
In internal memory i dont find garmin folder (chekd with root browser).
HTC One V Android 4.0.3 is stock - nothing modified.

When i installed GSP 1.49 and used Garmin folder what i downloaded one russian forum there was in .System folder some base map (gmapbmap) and it worked. Also worked CNEU-2013.30 gmapsupp when i put it to map folder and shows map (in streetpilot "myMaps - installed maps" also shows that map). When i put map folder GMAPSUPP.IMG ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ] working in HD2 Garmin mobile XT) and start the streetpilot it says "loading maps" then few seconds and phone home screen apears ? Also time and battery icon shows wrong.

What Is wrong with regio-estonia-roads-up-v-1-13-nt ?
