What is the easiest way to downgrade/upgrade?
Is it possible to just change the internal files, eg garmin-nav file ?

Is there any progress from someone ? I still can't add any additional maps on my Garmin Western Europe. Tried different maps, different unlocks and no success ...

AFAIK it's not as simple as that--at least that was the experience I had when I tried to swap out the Garmin 2.3 binary for 2.2...

i've tried almost everything to install custom map on garmin europe 2.4.1 but ended up in a big fail .Nothing worked , but here is some results after my trials
1-I tried to put all maps in the same folder of previous version which is .System (i created it) the only thing that appears after doing so is the 3D map not the custom map.
2-tried moving some files and folders in this version but always checks for the original map (Europe map) if it's not there, then it pops up an alert on app launch to download map.
Hope it helps thanks everyone :D

Rename your custom map as gmap3d.img and see if it works, this used to work for Garmin SG/MY and Thailand versions. Keep the original Europe map too.

Did you try to rename custom maps in gmap3d.img in .system folder? Or gmap3d.img in sdcard\garmin folder? Check this post for more directories or names.
