You can copy the APK-file (Android Application Package) to your Android unit and open the file there. It will install the application. You may have to enable the option to install APK-files from unknown sources in your Android settings (look at the Ballebar's picture below).

That excludes pretty much all current Garmin produced City Navigator mapsets etc.
OruxMaps can only read non NT standard files. These typically include older Garmin City Navigator, Topo mapsets and 3rd. party mapsets created with cGPSmapper, MapTk, Mapdekode, Mapwell etc.
Try loading your .img files into say GPSMapEdit. If they load without error and are viewable then usually they will work in OruxMaps.
Is there a chance that a future version of Orux Maps (or any other non-Garmin app) will be able to read NT version .img files?

The file has obviously become corrupt at some point in the chain.
WinRAR can attempt repair of the file and it is then viewable as a normal zip file but it still has errors during install.

I guess the author will fix it soon.

Garmin company Garmin's map NT format is proprietary and they have never disclosed the details, or at least ,developers dont violate the secret.

Is there a way to somehow convert NT version .img files into non-NT .img files (that Orux Maps and similar programs can read)?
If so, what is changed or lost in the conversion process?
