Still my question remains... where is the POI folder on a iPhone or how to add the poi’s from Cyclops speedcam....

    Thx.

Definetelly the POI does not work in this application, unless you put them in the .db file yourself
the above is for .gpi files

the permissions of the maps should be :

    Group wheel
    Access Permissions
    User Read,write,Exec
    Group Read,exec
    World Read,exec

The POI data does not work on Iphone Garmin Street Pilot, with the general files working on other devices like Mobile XT Mobile PC, or Garmin Devices.

The poi database is stored in /Var/mobile/applications/blabla/Library/sdcard/.System/SQlite/

    /resent_searches.db - speaks for itself
/local_poi.db - this is interesting - i did not figure out the database structure entirely
    /mylocations.db - custom inputs
/system.db - speedcorrections inside - if you did any during your jurneys

the coordinates format is !@^@%$^- no info

the files can be opened and manipulated with SQLite Browser

If someone with deep knowledge, could make script for convert and import of POI, it would be awesome.

Yep, this is correct one... I copy & paste a wrong one :umbrella:

He, Thx chehov for trying to help me
For the above, is this not for personal poi’s? My question is for the Cyclops speedcams... everyone is speaking about a POI folder?
    But where on a iPhone?

    Thx and regards.

Your reply, is this not for personal poi’s? My question is for the Cyclops speedcams... everyone is speaking about a special POI folder?

    Hey Guys,
I hope someone can help. I have a Central American Map which I was using as a secondary map on my Nuvi 260 (was named as gmapsupp.img on the nuvi) which Ive now renamed to gmapprom.img and dropped in the Apps/USA/Garmin-nav.app/storage-usa/. System directory and I can see it in the application.

When I try to use the go to address function the app is shortlising the correct addresses from the map, but when I click on one to start the routing the app crashes.

Does anyone have any ideas where to start troubleshooting this?

    TIA

@moreins1 - Since I use a custom Bulgaria map and needed to have routing in Western Europe, I have put up unlocked Western Europe 2012.30 map inside as well. However the routing was not working. Silly me, since the .ipa came with no maps, it did not include the base map - no base map, no routing between 2 or more pieces of custom maps. So, the base map is called "gmapbmap.img" , primary map is "gmapprom.img", secondary is "gmapprom1.img".
    Goog luck !

In the folder storage-usa/ add folder Map
put your additional map in it, with name "gmapsupp.img"

then change the Ownership to "mobile"
Access permissions - user :Read, Write, Execute
    Group: Read, Execute
    World: Read, Execute

    good luck !

Hello to all lovers of garmin!

I just got added POI into the garmin on the iphone:

have to create a folder named POI and within it put the files. gpi
add with iexplorer to iphone with the path is: / var / mobile / aplicatioons /,, xxxxxxxxxxxx,, / lybrary / sdcard / garmin / POI (the xxx are letters and numbers)
if you do not leave until here
ifile you give permissions to read, write to user, group, global
my language native is Spanish and use google translator
I hope that helped my help
    bye!
