I have the same problem as stonerolling.
Any help is welcome
Tnx
I have installed Garmin Streetpilot 2.2.10 I read ALL the thread and I can't add gpi files. So my precious POIs can't be used.
I add a POI folder with .gpi files in:
/var/mobile/Applications/(many digits and numbers)/garmin-nav.app/storage-usa/
and
/var/mobile/Applications/(many digits and numbers)/garmin-nav.app/storage-usa/.System
and
/var/mobile/aplicatioons/(many digits and numbers)/library/sdcard/
and
/var/mobile/aplicatioons/(many digits and numbers)/library/sdcard/garmin/
I also gave to POI folders and gpi files these permitions:
Owner : mobile
Group : mobile
User : read write execute
Group : read execute
World : read execute
All these POIs are working OK in my old windows mobile with Garmin Mobile XT, are there any ideas about what's wrong in my iPhone?
I have the same problem as stonerolling.
Any help is welcome
Tnx

Might be a 'write permission' issue. Try this, in ifile set 'application names' on in settings (click on gear icon - bottom left). Browse to /var/mobile/applications/ and click on the blue arrow next to W. Europe. Set 'Apply Hierarchically' on, then make sure that owner and group show 'mobile' and that user has 'read, write, execute' permission. Click done.I put the .gpi files in the directory "Garmin N America/Library/sdcard/POI". Only the directory "Garmin N America/Library/sdcard" exists; you need to create the POI subfolder.
As I mentioned earlier, when you put a .gpi file here, you can search for pois (exact poi name) from the "Where to" search bar and it will find them. You won't find them if you try searching from the 'Points of Interest' menu, nor will it display any sort of custom poi categories. In other words, you need to know what you are searching for. If you label your custom poi with a common leading label, this might be ok, but you still won't be able to browse for ones near you.
One more thing I found: I created a .gpi file with proximity alerts using POI Loader (saved it locally & then moved it to the iphone), and the proximity alerts worked!! I was very surprised to find this!
Thanks manojmat, you 're right:
"you can search for pois (exact poi name) from the "Where to" search bar and it will find them. You won't find them if you try searching from the 'Points of Interest' menu, nor will it display any sort of custom poi categories"
Thanks a lot! Iit is working now!
Can I use Europe maps with Garmin USA? I can't search for address, but I see the mapand streets. Can't chouse country, city.. first I get Enter House number??? How can I use Map Layers -> Add 3D buildings?

@Jokaatom
Yes, you can use Europe maps with Garmin USA. Search works. You have to first enter the house number than street name and at last the city. If you want to add 3D buildings you have to put gmap3d.img file to var\mobile\Applications\[APP DIR]\garmin-nav.app\storage-usa\.System directory.
In Garmin USA I can't chouse the state or city? When I enter the address the street name is not recognized, not found, but when i go to Next I see all steets near the current location with that name and number?
I use the same gmap3d.img file for Garimun WE and USA but I don't see the 3d buildings in USA? Ownership and premissions are OK.

Apparently, when I add POIs to /var/mobile/Applications/(many digits and numbers)/garmin-nav.app/storage-usa/POI, everything is working fine, need to zoom on map into oblivion to see small, really small icons, but never the less it is all there.
Had to restart, not only the aplication but the Iphone as well.
Can search for POI as well (different search GUI on Garmin Street Pilot On Board WE 2.0 and US 2.2)
Still can not figure out how to see Speed cameras as icons on map.
Thank you all
