I downloaded the trial from the Ovi Store but there was no maps available for Canada. Install was easy but I did find maps here though, but when I added the Canada maps and actually a whole bunch more...over a gig.... Now all I have to do is figure out how to get them running or activated. Installed this late last night when I should have gone to bed.....lol 5:30am came to early and not enought sleep..lol Anyhow more playing. Was rather disappointed in Garmin. I have Sygic installed and it runs well.....it is impressive..... Would like now to check out Ndrive that is if I can get by the trail version and activation process. Oh well more playing.
Anyone else with Ndrive and Nokia N97 Mini experience for Canada????
Thanks again Tom

I believe there is no Tom Tom for Symbian, I installed version Garmin XT 5.00.50 on my N97mini and then run the 5.00.60 sis update you can obtain from Garmin Taiwan which will allow you to used it on Horizontally... I works marvelously the only issue is that I've been unable to make the custom poi such as Speedcam etc work...
Hi caputogio, sorry for the late response to your above info. I did just that and it is working fine. Problem is, Lane assistant and Junction View are not working on Symbian Devices so after playing with other software I am still trying to decide which one I like. I do like the 3d, Lane assistant and Junction View, so that is a must.
I have been playing with my Ovi maps as catymag suggested and suddenly realized that it has Satelite view also.....wow I am impressed now. It is unfortunate that it appears that all the gps software is created for Europe and since I live in Canada, from what I have seen and read till I am blue in the face trying to find maps for US/Canada, not all gps software supports the Nokia symbian N97 Mini cell phone. I mentioned before that I like the Nokia N97 mini because it will run the GPS without a data plan. I really did like the Xperia but took it back for the Nokia because the Gps on the Xperia will not run without a data plan.
I would actually like to know what other Cell phone manufacturers with GPS will run like the Nokia without being forced to have a data plan.
caputogio thanks again for your advice.
