I'm trying to install City Navigator Europe (2011.10a) to an existing Mapsource installation that came with a nuvi 265 (It included the latest North America 2010.40 unlocked with an 8-character region code).

I've run the MSI file and Europe installs fine. I copy the patched Mapsource 6.15.11 to the Mapsource directory. I run the keygen with the fix and generated a 25-digit code for my device's ID and pasted in the Add region area and it says Europe is unlocked. But I can't see anything. There's a message in the lower right corner that says "overzoom". If I switch to one of my other maps, they display just fine.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks!

check the menu View, GPS map details
Make sure you have "GPS Map Detail" checked in the view menu.
When you upgraded to 6.15.11 it evidently changed
    the "GPS Map Detail" setting.

Yes, that was it. Obviously, I'm new at this.

So, if I've unlocked the map in Mapsource, why when I try to use MapInstall to install the map to the device (or the SD card in the device) does MapInstall tell me the map is locked? Can I regenerate another unlock code or do I need to use the same as I did when I unlocked the map in Mapsource?

And if I wanted to update my North America map (now it's 2010.40) with the newer 2011.10, can I just install 2011.10 in Mapsource or do I need to delete 2010.40 first?

Sorry for the dumb questions but even after reading all the stickies and help here, I'm having trouble understanding the difference between what's installed and unlocked on the PC and what needs to be transferred to the device.

if you have mapsource on your pc you dont need mapinstall, just connect your nuvi via usb and send the selected map by map tool to it-

the map will be unlocked just for the device you put the serial in jetmouse keygen

you cant have the same region routable map on your device, delete the old one after backupping it on your pc and rename the newer one in the same way of the old one- Place it in the same folder.

    Hi,

I am from india. I am using garmin mobile xt on N82 with garmin city navigator maps Garmin City Navigator India 2009 V4 (last quarter). I find this map most accurate in route than the recently released MMI for garmin. The MMI maps for garmin has lot more POI than the city navigator map though the routes and road map are not accurate. If it is possible to export the POI alone from the MMI map and merge it with city navigator map then it would be wonderful ?. can it be done?. If so can you suggest me how can it be done?.

    Hi,
as I am not in the "getthenewmobile" wave I still have a Symbian 9.1 Nokia mobile. I have a working TomTom5 installed and now I need the belgium (or the all Western Europe to avoid any future request lol ): where can I find it? Are the new 8.45 versions working with this "preistoric" release?
    Thanks
    Gabriele
