JaVaWa (latest version), does not complain about anything. It shows ALL maps as present, no warnings.

    That's weird.
Let's resume, you have 5 img files on your SD card (v4 has 4 maps) and they all have a different name and FID?

I think it's normal in case of routable maps covering the same area. Gps displays one only to avoid conflicts.
In nuvis it's like that, in outdoor devices you can try to use them in different profiles.

But rolfa says: "V4 is no longer present on the list of maps in GPSr"
In that case I don't think another profile will show them?

I have multiple routable maps of the same country on SD and they all show up in the map-list.
You must not enable them at the same time offcourse but they are available.

Well, I wanted to see this with my own eyes and put v4 and v5 on an SD card and indeed, only v5 is listed in my Oregon 600!

I removed v4 and added the OSM based Freizeitkarte Sweden 1609 which is routable too. Now both v5 and Freizeitkarte are listed.

IMHO 2 different released versions of the same Garmin map, topo or CN cannot show up both in map list.

Strangely, Topo France v2 and Topo France v3 could be both displayed, but it's not the case anymore with v3 and v4 where v4 is only displayed !

Same issue here on my Oregon600 with v5 and only 1 img (Gotaland) of v4.

I'm having dj vu guys .... Is this discussion of V5 covering V4 the same problem as was previously noted 2 yrs ago? [V3 was covered by V4]:

Anybody else having this problem. Seems like v2 and v1 will stay untouched (saw that on my friends Oregon 600).
    I downloaded from post#1.
Doesn't seem to have been resolved there, discussion faded away.

At some point in time, Garmin must have implemented sort of priority in their maps. Not only with their topo maps, but the same phenomenon can be seen with their more recent CN maps.
