kalleh (and Adm. Nelsson, who asked for feedback in another thread),
For this to work on older plotters (4000, 5000, 6000 and early versions of 7000 series) you can not use the files as is. First you need to rename the veu711l.img file to gmapsupp.img . Also, on older plotters you do not need the veu711a.img file so you can save some space by omitting that one if you have a smaller SD card.

I am using an older 7000 plotter. Can someone explain to me why there there are 2 img files. If I want to keep both files do I rename them both gmapsupp or gmapsupp1 and gmapsupp2. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can you explain why there are 2 img files? Post 3 says you do not need the veu711a.img file if you are using an older plotter. What is in this file? If this file is ommitted do you still have all of the HD data?

As a general matter, A-files of such charts contain 1-foot HD fishing contours data that is not supported by older devices.
