Read these threads to see what it uses and where to place the additional files in your NA 2597: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Like i said, it can use either NT or NTU but if you have no use for unicode characters then the NT will do you fine.

..... is there a possibility that i can just copy the JCV files and the junction view will work ?
Use the correct one corresponding to your unit and map choice and it'll work. But dont expect to see a lot of views other than on major expressways, it's a big country and not a big JCV file relatively.

I tried downloading the BT file, Unzipped it .
I was able to see JCV inside a folder named "Mapdata" copied it to the location "/Garmin/*.jcv" as this is the location on my XML.
But couldn't see the Junction view.

And on the Image file, i replaced 2015 with 2016 . After the device gets restarted it throws error as "Cannot unlock map".
    Can you please help.

If it was only that message you've not unlocked the img file correctly. Did you use "gimunlock-0.03+MapSigPatch"? Link is in P#9 as i previously advised in P#19. If additionally you got a message 'maps are corrupt and can't be used' then you may need to patch the firmware. Again see P#19.

JCV file goes either in unit:/.System/JCV or sd:/Garmin/JCV. In your GarminDevice.xml is: "<dtlx:ExternalPath>Garmin/JCV/</dtlx:ExternalPath>", 'ExternalPath' being for the media card and also this: "<Path>.System/JCV</Path>" being for the device's internal memory.

I tried to download the unlock tool from here, but couldn't get the exact link.

I found the tool at "https://code.google.com/archive/p/gimgtools/downloads".
But once i click unlocker, it runs some cmd and disappears.

You can't see the link because you haven't hit the 'LIKE this Post' button on below left of the post. That will uncover the link.

Yes, you've missed setting your Windows Folder Options/File Explorer Options > View to show hidden files etc blah, blah.
