Is there any other way to unlock the map?

We have a new Toyota Landcruiser 2016, imported from Dubai, it has a built in dash board garmin gps. I also have an old garmin model nuvi 205 (3.5").

I unlock the phil map using gimgunlock its working perfectly on my old garmin but when i put it in our new car it says "the map is corrupted"

Is there any other way to unlock it or used it on our new car? Thank you.

The steps to update the map (as described on the referred website) are as follows:

    oIsjut2

For now, please perform step 1 only. I expect the result will be that at least the file GarminDevice.xml will be written to the memory card.
If so, open this file on your computer by double clicking on it and find the part that looks like:

The example above shows details for a nüvi 2595. Your file will show other details.
Post back with only these details for your device and we may be able to give you further advice.

Apologized.. I still can't go to my father's friend to perform the steps you gave..

By the way, Open Street Maps works on the dash board garmin but we prefer the latest Garmin CN map...

If OSM maps in Garmin .img format work, then there's a good chance that an unlocked Garmin CNNT will also work. If it won't work, then you may need to patch the firmware as said by catymag so you'll need to provide any error message and a copy of the firmware for our software experts to check.
