    Default I get the turn notice too late, Primo 2.4

    I've tested Primo Nexgen (9.18.27.658108) for a few month, but I didn't liked it.
    I went back to my old version of Primo (9.6.29.404739), that I used to like.
    For some reason, I get the turn notice too late - "In 30 meter, turn right". I get the message when I'm already on the corner of the street .
    Is there a setting that will fix it, or something else?
    Thanks

    Maybe first thing to try is in settings, sound and warnings, verbosity level. It's probably at minimal, set it at "verbose" then you will get 3 announcements.

    Thanks.
    It is on verbosity level, it gives the 3 announcements, but the last one it too late.
    Any other idea?

    Default Sound late

    @golfer83

    Maybe that is wrong and does not work in your case but for me it went well with in sys.txt

    Spoiler: information

    [sound]
    guidance_distance_offset=30

    You can try it and please tell us if it works

    Cordially

    There is a sys.txt option (under the [sound] header) called "guidance_distance_offset" - you could use this to cause all guidance alerts to occur earlier. I'm not sure exactly what the number represents (yards, meters, etc), but you can experiment with it... Try starting with 50 or 75 and adjust as needed...

    What kind of voice are we talking about? TTS or normal voice?
    The installed TTS engine might be a bit slow in actually speaking the text passed to it

    @lastone & @jtrosky
    Thanks, I will check this setting during next week.

    @G-ulash
    It's the normal voice

    Thank you
    Works perfect with "guidance_distance_offset=40"

    Cool, you fixed the symptom not the problem. You need to be asking yourself, why is this necessary for this proggy and not another?
    Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.

    As I wrote in first post, "I went back to my old version of Primo". So it's the same proggy, same apk file.
    Can it be that the gps unit in Samsung S4 is more accurate than in Samsung J7?
