Yes, that sounds good, however there's no real need to use BaseCamp, it will only invoke MapInstall when you click 'Install Maps' under the 'Maps' tab in any case. So you can simply open MapInstall directly. If you use the patched version you can send the img file to any drive including your system C: drive if you wish [run MI as Administrator]. If you're determined to send it to your 255's internal memory then select its drive letter of course. The map will be installed to its Garmin folder as gmapsupp.img and if there's an existing file of the same name in there it'll be overwritten. If you already have an earlier map covering the same area as the new map named gmapprom.img then you'd best remove it along with any unl and gma codes too [make back ups], or at least deselect it from the device's map list. I would prefer that you put your little map on a small microSD, what you need for Quebec will fit on a quite small card as those 7 tiles shown in the pic of Post #18 take up less than 126MiB [~132MB] anyway, if you drop a tile or two it'll even fit on an old 128MB card. Your call of course where you install it.

Thank You alot for your time, I found out how to process ^_^. Not easy when my first language is French

That Nüvi 255 was given to me and I was unable to get access to it .. was kind of brick.. I found 3 years ago how to unbrik it so I could access the main root of it hehe

    Hi all!
Is it possible to have this great map North America 2017.20 with IMG Unlocked divided into lower than 2GB files, for example splitting Canada, the US and Mexico? This will be for Nuvi 350.
Thanks so much for your help!

Rather than handing out fish, we'd rather teach members how to catch fish. It's not only way easier than many people think, it's also fun and educative.

    1. Download the "PC Install" version of the map. The download contains the *.gmap folder.
    2. Then read: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    3. Scroll down to "Have you downloaded a Gmap folder ?"

By using the PC installable version of the map, you can use MapInstall to create a custom version of the map that stays within the 2 GB file size limit of the nüvi 350.
Only when you're finished and the map is working on your nüvi 350, have a quick look at posts 3, 4 and 8.

Welcome to GPS Power, by the way!

Hope this one is going to be better. 2017.10 was really dog slow when it comes to calculating paths.
I wonder if it wasn't properly optimized or something. Anyone noticed that drastic change in the pervious map release?

Loaded up my Nuvi 2595 with the latest North America NT 2017.20 unlocked on my SD card. Now not recognizing my voice commands with the standard " this feature is not available in American English" although I have it checked and loaded, the one that says street names and all the voice recognition files.
If I take out my SD card and use the default location map, it works. Do I need to install on the internal mem? Where is that map located?

For North American devices, you may load either Full Coverage of North America or US &
Canada. However, other smaller regions will NOT work with voice command.
