G'day lighter, welcome to GPS Power.

Helps if we know what device you have mate. The detail map and 3D map in Post #2 are unlocked, the ones in initial post are locked but can be unlocked with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Some recent devices must additionally have their firmware patched: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    Hi all,

I have a couple of 2597's that I bought from the US. The 2016.20 JCV crashes the device whenever it tries to display a junction view.

I have it working OK on another (older) model so I don't think I'm doing anything obviously wrong.

Could it be an issue with the firmware? I need to flash or something?

    Thanks & cheers

You can try to patch the JCV file, but if a US firmware device has a crash and reboot error with the original JCV it will almost certainly be the same with the patched file. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Read Post #24>.

Conversion to Asian firmware [if possible] may be the only way to display Asian-style JCV files. I don't know if there's compatible Asian fw for your US 2597 units and in any case you may face other incompatibilities such as voices etc. Better to just remove the JCV file imo.
