    Celso it depends on models, look at garmindevice.xml in Garmin folder to know what you need.
    In my nuvi I have for example:
    <DataType>
    <Name>PreProgrammedLaneAssistPortraitFull</Name>
    <File>
    <Specification>
    <Identifier>JCV</Identifier>
    </Specification>
    <Location>
    <Path>.System/JCV</Path>
    <FileExtension>jcv</FileExtension>
    <Extensions>
    Keep in mind nuvi 50 uses a special JCV file and wont work with other kind of JCV file, usually in posts it is specified JCV for 4x/5x

    Two suggestions:

    1) The classification of JCV - it will be according to garmindevice.xml record, for this thread as example:
    Code:

    2) If Caty let me I can try to port my javascript to this site which will parse garmindevice.xml to needed file as records in garmindevice.xml...

    Love your wife? Buy yourself a GPS for answering to her favorite question: "Dear, where are you?".

    I have a garmin gps and would like to put the three maps available.
    The autoguias and CNSA maps I make the compilation and put on the memory card. The TrackSource I install the GPS memory. I wonder what version of CNSA can download.

    Which model device? It depends. Many Garmin units can read multiple map img files with 'any name' [e.g. CNNT_SAm_2017.10.img] in Map folder of unit or card. Some can even use 'any name' in Garmin folder of card. Older units are limited to only one or two in card, gmapsupp.img and maybe gmapsup1.img also.

    The autoguias and CNSA maps I make the compilation and put on the memory card.
    You mean to combine the 2 images to make one gmapsupp.img i guess.

    The TrackSource I install the GPS memory. I wonder what version of CNSA can download.
    If you're asking if you should download the PC Install version/Map source data [same thing just different term] or the already complied .img file that's entirely up to you.

    The JCV file for South America will also work with a partial map file of South America (like Brazil only).

    Both files need to be of the same publication though. For instance, a JCV file belonging to the 2016.20 map of South America will not work with the 2017.10 map of Brazil.
