    Hi,

    I put CN North America NT.img file (unlocked with gimgunlock v0.03) on a microSD into a Garmin folder.

    Map is well displayed on my patched Nüvi 68.

    Then I put corresponding JCV folder (containing .jcv file) in the same Garmin Folder and splitted jonction view is also well displayed (on simulation).

    But I've got an issue with foursquare folder : on Nüvi internal memory, CN Europe NTU is installed and there is only one .img file for foursquare into a Map folder into .System repertory.

    For CN North America NT, I downloaded two files (one .img and one .sid) from post #2. I put the .img file into a Map folder inside Garmin Folder on microSD and .sid file into SID folder with others downloaded .sid files.
    No foursquare map for CN North America is displayed on Nüvi (and obviously foursquare search does not work).
    Then I unlocked forsquare .img file with gimgunlock v0.03 because I noticed CN Europe one was locked (.unl and .gma files in Map folder), but it did not change anything.

    @Sergio
    You made a mistake, Foursquare map goes in SD/Map and not in SD/Garmin/Map.

    Look at the bottom of post n.2 for links for updated unlockers, JM unfortunately is obsolete, it is used in some cases only now.

    Hello Guys,

    I'm having some trouble with the "lite" version for old Nuvi systems. I downloaded both maps from Gpssolutions and Quebec001, but in both maps there are some missing parts of Texas, which is where I'm heading to this summer. Examples:

    On Gpssolutions version, I can't find Austin, TX and its western sorrounding

    On Quebec001 version, I can't find a long part of the Rio Grande (i.e. the Mexican Border).

    Can anyone fix this? Many thanks in advance, expecially for the job you're carrying on here.

    @andyroom
    It would be faster for you to download the map installer and build the img you prefer with Basecamp/Mapinstall.

    Success using 2017.10 city navigator maps with Garmin MobilePC V5.0070. Had to use latest mapsource with patch, and download 4 gig of mapsource 2017.10 from torrent. I did not bother with JCV files or 3D stuff. Can GMPC do lane assist and 3D buildings?

    From the torrent site comments
    "Okay guys, as MR funkTastic said:
    This is locked.
    You need the patched Mapsource.
    You need Jetmoose V1.5 keygen
    To get your device ID you get it from mapsource, tools, get device ID.

    So in the keygen you select custom mapset, you put the FID 4033 and then you put your device ID on top.
    It'll give you a code.

    On mapsource go to manage maps, and go to unlock region, add, and there you put the key you just generated and it will unlock the maps."

    It worked for me 1.99 Gig with 152 maps, all lower 49 plus border of Canada and Mexico and Alaska. I was tempted to test it at 2.1 gig or something just to see, but no time. Remeber when you transfer send to device, with GMPC you send it to hard disk, click the drop down on device and see choices of destinations. Lastly of course rename to "GMAPPROM" and place in the same folder as Q.

    It all depends what you mean by 'Gig'/'gig' which is a 'casual' or 'slang' type of abbreviation. You may mean the decimal form GB [gigabyte] in which case 1.99GB is 1,990,000,000 bytes and 2.1GB is 2,100,000,000 bytes. However, if you mean the original binary form GB/gigabyte still used by Microsoft and more correctly today referred to as GiB [gibibyte] those files would be ~2,136,746,230 and ~2,254,857,830 bytes respectively. The FAT32 files size limit which is imposed on GMPC is 2GiB minus one byte [2,147,483,647 bytes] so (i) your 2.1 'gig' file as 2.1GB is ok but not by much however it's quite over if it's 2.1GiB; and (ii) your 1.99 'gig' file as 1.99Gib is also ok. Easiest way is to forget comparing what may be apples with oranges and just look at the number of bytes in the file because provided it doesn't exceed 2,147,483,647 bytes it will work in GMPC, GMXT, older nuvis 3xx/6xx and earlier devices such as StreetPilots.

    PS: No need to use JM at all these days, just unlock the image in mere seconds with gimgunlock, much easier and quicker than generating unl codes in GMPC, GMXT and some few very old devices without GMA in fw.

    G'day daguy. Welcome to GPSPower.

    You can use any of the 'full screen' JCV files of 480 x 270 pixel picture size in your 855. For Voice Command use only the ASR '1' files, often indicated as suitable for nuvi 3790 [but you'll need all NA map loaded, i don't think ASR will work with just CA or any other partial mapping other than USA].
