AFAIK, the NTU map only comes with split screen JCV since GPS devices using NTU maps (like the nüvi 3790T) use split screen JCV.

Split screen is better because lets you to see the route while looking at the junction view on the screen.

Which JCV should I use to have a full screen, not just a half size?

    Thanks!
The advice in the above 2 posts is very good advice imo. However, 37xx was originally loaded with the non-unicode version of EU as OEM and it displayed the 480x270 pixel picture size file in full screen, for the current 2016.20 map that's D2504200A.jcv as said in Post #78 for nuvi 7x5. Both 7x5 and 37xx can also use the smaller D3084170A.jcv meant for 1xxx which has less than half the junction views of the larger file. Also any of the regional full screen files for smaller original image files. You've clearly been using the non-unicode map until now.

When the Unicode map was released, Garmin switched to loading it as OEM for EU localised 37xx units but support remained in the firmware for native full screen display because many of the early 37xx units have LM subscriptions for the non-unicode map. At some point Garmin may elect to switch 37xx LMs to the unicode map, but as 1xxx and earlier cannot use it fully to varying degrees the non-unicode version will probably be around for some time yet.

So if you can do without unicode features and badly want full screen JCV in your 3790 despite having less updated mapping data, follow the advice given by smokefree in Post #78 to the 765 user:

No problem for 3490 and NTU for such Cities/Addresses
    Even if I don't use keyboard's auto-complete, I can still enter a / or a (, by changing the keyboard from "Qwerty" to "&?%"
    Your examples using Where to>Address

Simulation mode ---> Set Location: Steinebach/Sieg
    Text: American Englsih
    Keyboard: Deutsch
    Red numbers: key press sequence

    1) using Direct Search field "near Steinebach/Sieg"

    1

    2) using Address search (Country-City-Address-Number)
    Country: Germany

    2

By the way which locale do you use? In Europe only UK, Ireland, Malta, Cyprus, France and Luxenbourg use Number->Address
    All other countries use Address->Number
