if I understan you, maps after 2016.20 is not NT ,but 2016.30 is NTU and next 2017.xx will be also NTU.
And if that is right, there is no solution to look for JCV files for this type (1490T)?

You can use big screen JCV, but not sure address search will work fine in 14xx, it can be it wont work in some cases you badly need it so better you stick with NT.

No, you're not right. NT and NTU (the latter also called NT Unicode) are two versions of the European map that are published side by side, sometimes skipping an edition. Each map type has its own series of GPS devices to be used on. The nüvi 1490T uses NT maps. The 2017.10 version of the NT map is expected for some time now. Stay tuned but until then, the 2016.20 NT version is what you can use. As Caty said, you could use the more recent 2016.30 NTU version, but you may expect problems with e.g. address search capability.

On schedule there will be 2017.10 at the end of this month or at the beginning of next month...
