Short of downloading both the current map and jcv file to check myself i really can't say what's wrong. Could be a faulty jcv file or wrong placement of it. I've scrolled thru the London-Manchester route before with earlier map versions and it has lots of JCVs even in the small file. File goes in your 2460 unit as x:\.System\JCV\xxxxxxxxxxx.jcv or in microSD as x:\Garmin\JCV\xxxxxxxxxxx.jcv [if you rename it, don't use more than 11 characters in the file name]

Thank you, I am obtaining the file from somewhere else to check, it is as D3048200B.jvc, will see how we go.

Edit: Well Ive tried four different sources and two images everything works apaqrt from the split screen jvc, not even full screen jvc works, ah well back to the old one. 2015.40 works fine.

    Tricky question???

I have a SD card and I would like to have 2 maps in the same card.
Map of Europe NTU and North America, but the problem is that both maps have same name; gmapprom.img.
    What can I do?

I don“t have place on my device, otherwise I could have one map on the device and the other on my SD card.

    It depends on your device.

Ēfarė versioni Garmin keni?Nė sdcard nuk mund tė vejmė gmapprom . Nėse keni Garmin tė vjetėr. vetėm gmapsupp.img

What Garmin nuvi you have? In sdcard can not we put gmapprom. If you have old Garmin , only gmapsupp.img in sd card into garmin folder

I have a nüvi 50LM and until now it worked fine, but not now cause of the size of a new map :-)

One way, is of course to use two SD card and switch between...

create a folder named Map and rename your map to anyname.img and copy it in sd/Map

PS. You can see valid files paths and naming in your nuvi garmindevice.xml stored in Garmin folder.
