Not really because this one has OSM data and that's quite different (much better!) than Garmin's previous 100k data.

Does anyone already used this Active Map in combination with the search function in BaseCamp?.
I do not succeed to find a street in a place, while BC does show the street name.
MDR is included in the gmapprom.img.
There is not a separate database-img like on the Edge Touring (gmapgc.img) on the Etrex 20x/30x ?
Edit: it looks like searchfunction is limited to POI's

It's OSM vanilla with a nice .typ and with routing. It's better than the tomtom based 'Recreation Map of Europe'. On the downside it have less localities and POI than CN Europe.

If I click on the question mark in BC search I get:

That's right Catymag, I overlooked the question mark. I also get the message-popup. So thats one more for the downside of this map.

It's impossible to keep a Topo map of western Europe under 4GB without skipping some data.
The choises Garmin made are not too bad, many footpaths are present and they are more important than contourlines offcourse.
Freizeitkarte is the best implementation of the current OSM data indeed, I love their maps and frequent updates.
