    and also, the JCV file can be unlocked using syzygy's Asian JCV Tool so that it will show correctly in your Garmin unit

    Probably all maps of Philippines goes without 3d. If only TYP file in IMG contains some 3D object...

    Typ file alters the display of the map elements, i.e. areas, lines, POIs and even buildings. It works similarly to the so called skins known in many other programs, you can check this map typ file in Typviewer program:

    here an example of Typ with with 2D-footprints:

    You have to navigate to get to the good.
